Optimal Training for Musicians

– Training for posture balance, optimal body support, and pain relief

Do you want to develop your posture, stability, and balance for sustainable playing/singing? In the course Optimal Training for Musicians, you will receive a training program specially adapted for musicians, with exercises that strengthen the body from the inside out. The program aims to give you better support for your body, instrument, and voice, prevent tension, and give you the conditions for long-term sustainable music-making. The course consists of five digital sessions and is led by physical therapist and musician Maria Sjögren.

About the course

Many musicians find that tension, overload, or imbalance in the body affects both technique and expression. This course focuses on restoring muscular balance and improving the body's ability to distribute load in a sustainable way.

Through the training, you will gain:

  • A deeper understanding of your body's posture and function in relation to your instrument.

  • Exercises that target muscles that traditional training often misses.

  • A complete training program to work independently on your posture and stability after the course ends.
